DynamicTime is automated time reporting for service companies. Connect Claude, Claude Code or ChatGPT to your DynamicTime account, ask about your own time entries and projects in plain language, and let it log what you worked on. The AI app never adds, changes or deletes time entries.
What you can ask
- "What did I work on last week?"
- "How many hours did I report on each project in October?"
- "Which days in the week of 12 October have no time reported?"
- "Which projects and activities can I report time on?"
- "Log what we did in this session."
Tools
DynamicTime's server gives the AI app three tools. The first two only read:
get_my_time: your own time entries for a period of up to 31 days, with date, project, activity, minutes and comment, and the total per day. For longer periods the AI app asks several times.list_my_activities: the projects and activities you can report time on today, with their client.log_work_session: logs what you worked on, with the name of the chat or session, a description and a time. DynamicTime uses it as an event when it builds your time report, like a sent e-mail, and estimates the time. It is not a time entry. You review it in DynamicTime like any other event.
Example: you ask Claude Code to log the session. It sends the session name "Fix login timeout" and the description "Acme, Customer portal, issue 412: fixed the login timeout and added a test." DynamicTime matches it to your project for Acme, and it shows up as an AI session in your time report.
Before you start
- You need an active DynamicTime account and a valid license.
- Your organization's administrator can turn Claude, Claude Code or ChatGPT off for the whole organization.
The server address is https://api.dynamictime.se/mcp. You start the connection in the AI app. It opens the DynamicTime page Connect an AI app, where you log in and click Allow.
Claude
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Enter the address
https://api.dynamictime.se/mcp. Leave Advanced settings empty. - Click Connect, log in to DynamicTime if you are asked to, and click Allow.
Claude Code
- In a terminal, run
claude mcp add --transport http dynamictime https://api.dynamictime.se/mcp. - Start Claude Code, type
/mcp, choose dynamictime and log in. - Your browser opens DynamicTime. Click Allow.
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, turn on Developer mode in the settings for apps and connectors.
- Create a new connector with the address
https://api.dynamictime.se/mcpand choose OAuth. Leave the client fields empty. - Connect, log in to DynamicTime if you are asked to, and click Allow.
The menu names in Claude and ChatGPT can change. Look for "connectors" if you cannot find them.
Disconnect
In DynamicTime, open Apps, find the AI app and choose Disconnect in its menu. The AI app loses access at once, and the work it logged is deleted. Your time entries stay, and your other AI apps keep working. You can also remove the connector in the AI app.
If you have not used an AI app for 14 days, it asks you to log in again.
Your data
The AI app only sees your own time entries and the projects and activities you can report time on. It never sees other people's time. The data goes to the AI app you chose, and its provider handles it under its own terms and privacy policy. The work the AI app logs is stored in DynamicTime as part of the basis for your time report. The session name and description are never sent to our own AI provider. Read more in our privacy policy (in Swedish).
Help and support
Email support@dynamictime.se. If the AI app says that access was denied, check that your account and license are active, and ask your administrator whether the app is turned on for your organization.
